Our Guitar Lesson Philosophy

When students take guitar lessons as an adult, we understand that your goals might not be to get into Berklee College of Music or join a rock band and go tour the world.

And we’re totally fine with that!

While some of our students have joined bands, performed at open mics and have been jamming with their friends, we have many students who learn and play the guitar for the fun of it.

Because guitar lessons should always be about having fun first.

At LB Music School, our goal is to help our adult guitar students feel confident in their abilities to play and enjoy the instrument. It’s not an easy one to learn, but it’s well worth the effort and our patient guitar teachers will be there along the way to guide you.

I've been a student at LB Music School for four years, and have enjoyed every moment. I'm an adult student who works in Boston during the week, so finding time for lessons and to practice was going to be difficult (so I thought), but I'd always wanted to play the guitar. The school is open late enough during the week that I was able to have lessons at a time that worked for me. My instructors work with me at my pace - they stress that practicing every day, even for 5 minutes, is better than not picking up my guitar at all.
