Welcome to LB Music School’s piano teacher bios. We love helping piano students ages 5 & up have fun on the instrument. That includes adults. Beginners are welcome and we have a number of piano instructors that can help you along your musical journey.
Medford Piano Teachers:
Mingjung Kang: Teaches Piano, Violin Cello
Mingjung is an amazing piano teacher. Not only does she teach piano, but, she also plays and teaches violin and cello! Mingjung can work with students as young as 4 years old on piano and has experience working with adults as well. Minjung can teach absolute beginners all the way up to advanced students on the piano.
Katie O’Brien: Teaches Piano & Voice
Katie is the head instructor at LB Music School Medford and she loves helping student find joy through music. Katie has a degree from Boston Conservatory and teaches piano and voice at LB Music school. As a piano instructor, she is able to work with students from the beginner level of playing up to late-intermediate. She loves helping students who want to sing and play together. Katie is still an active performer working local with her duo or wedding band.
Deborah Moscoso: Teaches Piano & Voice
Deborah has a knack for lighting up the room when it comes to teaching piano to kids and adults alike. Deborah is not only an accomplished piano instructor she is a wonderful voice teacher as well. Deborah works with students from the beginner level of playing all the way to the late-intermediate stages of playing the piano. Many of Deborah’s student have been with her for years because she makes her lessons fun and enjoyable for everyone.
Adam Amaroso: Teaches Piano, Guitar, Ukulele & Bass
Adam’s piano teaching focuses on modern technique VS classical preparation. Adam focuses on the creative aspects of music with his students including improvising and songwriting. Adam loves to get students creating as soon as possible. Not only does Adam teach piano to beginner and early intermediate students, he also plays guitar, drums, ukulele and bass! You could say Adam is a Jack of all trades and an absolutely wonderful teacher to work with. Adam has experience working with special needs students as well as students on the spectrum.
Emily Trubey: Teachers Piano & Voice
Emily holds her bachelor’s degree in musical theatre performance. As a piano teacher, she enjoys working with younger piano students ages 6 & up who are beginner to intermediate level. Student enjoy Emily’s communication between lessons and her positive energy.
What Age Can My Child Start Lessons?
For piano lessons, we do have some teachers that will teach as young as 4 years old. For students ages 4-6, we usually recommend an introductory lessons to make sure the lesson structure and teacher are a good fit. We understand that every child is unique and are more than happy to work with younger students who are excited about learning music.
